Order Picker

Overview

The Order Picker at The Restaurant Store plays a crucial role by assisting the Order Fulfillment Manager in all facets of the customer order process within a retail branch. This individual is responsible for efficiently selecting, consolidating, slotting, and finalizing customer orders, ensuring alignment with the objectives of sales, order fulfillment, inventory, and merchandising departments.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Accurately pick, consolidate, and slot customer orders using equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, and powered tools.
• Complete all order fulfillment activities aligned with branch operational goals.
• Consistently meet or exceed set company benchmarks for efficiency and order accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment within the order fulfillment area.
• Effectively communicate any order discrepancies, status updates, or issues to the Order Fulfillment Manager.
• Support additional tasks and initiatives as assigned by management to promote smooth branch operations and business goal alignment.

Physical Demands

• The role involves standing and/or walking for up to 9 hours daily.
• Effective verbal communication as well as vision and hearing are required.
• Regular use of hands for grasping and fine motor skills.
• Frequent bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching is part of the job.
• Capability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull weights up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications and Background

• At least one year of relevant experience within retail or supply chain management is expected.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education combined with relevant experience.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Experience using CRM systems and project management tools.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
