Job Overview
The Inventory Executive will manage daily inventory duties, providing support to the inventory team leader and store operations. This includes receiving stock materials, equipment, supplies, or merchandise and maintaining accurate records reflecting the quantity and value of stocked materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage a comprehensive database of all inventory stock.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of received stock; verify that merchandise is in sellable condition and report any discrepancies.
- Create Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) for all incoming merchandise and validate them against Local Purchase Orders (LPO) and invoices.
- Review supplier invoices for accuracy.
- Generate Purchase Return (PRET) and Long-Term Inventory (LTI) documents as requested by the merchandising team based on items found on the sales floor.
- Separate and hand over Brand Promise products to the designated Brand Promise Officer.
- Update and submit weekly purchase return reports to the merchandising team.
- Verify that all display items are authorized by the Store Manager and correctly reflected on the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Oversee High-Value Stock (HVS) activities and keep the inventory logbook current.
- Count, sort, and check incoming merchandise against requisitions and invoices.
- Assist in compiling Stock-not-in-Production (SNP) reports and conduct perpetual inventory counts as well as annual stock taking.
- Manage and maintain the stockroom effectively.
- Monitor staff grooming, discipline, and punctuality.
- Ensure adherence to checklists and procedural policies such as staff discount rules and store opening/closing protocols.
Experience and Qualifications
- Possess 1 to 5 years of experience in inventory or warehouse management.
- Preferably holds a graduate degree.
- Relevant certifications in retail management are advantageous.
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
