Delivery Driver

Job Overview

The Delivery Driver at The Restaurant Store is accountable for efficiently loading customer orders and ensuring timely delivery within local areas. This role emphasizes high customer service standards and route management. During any downtime or order shortages, the driver supports the store team by assisting with order fulfillment activities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Carefully load prepared orders into the delivery vehicle organized by delivery sequence.
• Follow daily delivery routes effectively using company-approved software.
• Interact courteously and professionally with customers during deliveries following company policies.
• Refer customers to the Sales team when queries arise beyond delivery scope.
• Keep the delivery van clean and orderly.
• Conduct daily inspections of the delivery vehicle in line with company guidelines.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management supporting smooth store operations.
• Assist with operational store duties as necessary.

Physical Demands

• The job requires standing and walking for up to nine hours daily.
• Effective communication abilities involving speech, sight, and hearing are necessary.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping and precise movements is required.
• Regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching will be part of the work routine.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights up to 50 pounds is essential.

Experience and Qualifications

• Must hold a Class C driver's license with a clean driving record.
• No formal degree requirement; emphasis is placed on relevant experience and alignment with company values.
