Operations Professional

Job Summary

The Operations Professional at The Restaurant Store manages day-to-day materials handling at a retail branch. This role focuses on executing inventory and stocking processes that support the objectives of sales, merchandising, and inventory teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Accept incoming shipments daily and stock products on the sales floor.
• Transfer reserve stock to sales areas as needed.
• Arrange merchandise neatly to maintain an inviting store appearance each day.
• Follow management’s priority lists and complete assigned tasks promptly.
• Provide courteous assistance to customers in locating items without engaging in sales discussions.
• Refer customers to sales staff for detailed product inquiries.
• Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal to keep the store tidy.
• Maintain organized and clean work and sales areas.
• Operate forklifts when required.

Physical Demands

• Work involves standing and walking for up to 9 hours daily.
• Effective communication using speech, vision, and hearing is essential.
• Tasks require frequent hand use for grasping and fine manipulation.
• Regular physical activities include bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Must be capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling loads up to 50 pounds consistently.

Experience and Education

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in retail or supply chain management is necessary.
• No formal degree is required; practical skills and alignment with company values are prioritized.
