Company Overview
This leadership role is responsible for managing all Operational Departments to meet production, quality, and financial goals established in the yearly budget. The position ensures departmental effectiveness, drives continuous process enhancements, and implements organizational strategies within Operations. Coordination with Commercial, Finance, HR, Safety, and other departments is essential to facilitate smooth order processing, minimize costs, and ensure prompt delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily activities of all Operations teams to maintain efficiency and output.
- Track departmental KPIs and performance metrics to achieve budgeted targets for production and costs.
- Collaborate with Commercial teams to guarantee timely, cost-efficient, and high-quality fulfillment of customer orders.
- Review and improve operational workflows to increase productivity, reduce expenses, and maximize equipment use.
- Set developmental objectives for departments aimed at ongoing improvements in production processes.
- Lead both short-term and long-term operational planning, including forecasting and nomination of raw materials.
- Conduct frequent cost evaluations ensuring compliance with budgetary limits.
- Manage preparation and execution of investment plans within Operations.
- Work cross-functionally with Finance, HR, and Safety for budgeting, workforce planning, training initiatives, and adherence to safety regulations.
- Identify and mitigate risks linked to quality, cost, capacity utilization, and process improvements.
- Implement training programs and succession planning to maintain business continuity.
- Enforce safety protocols and collaborate with Safety teams for safe workplace conditions.
- Lead the annual budgeting process for the Operations department.
- Oversee Quality Management System procedures including audits and certification renewals.
- Authorize all documentation related to Operations' functions.
- Introduce and maintain employee performance appraisal systems.
- Foster a customer-centric culture to improve client satisfaction and support business expansion.
Qualifications & Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Industrial Engineering.
- At least 10 years of direct experience in Operations, preferably in manufacturing or process-driven industries.
Technical Skills
- Advanced knowledge of MS Project, MS Office suite, and ERP software.
- Proven innovation skills with a history of driving process improvements.
- Expertise in organizing production and enhancing operational performance.
- Strategic planning ability for both current and future operational developments.
- Strong financial skills focusing on cost control, budgeting, and optimization.
- Comprehensive understanding of supply chain integration and interdepartmental collaboration.
- Proficient project management skills to systematize operational workflows.
Preferred Additional Qualifications
- MBA degree valued for advanced planning and analytical expertise.
- Experience in industries with non-mass production environments is considered a benefit.
