About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Night Kitchen Porter to join our team in Tilbury, working full-time from 8pm to 4am, five days a week. This position offers a pay rate of £12.71 per hour and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment using manual and industrial dishwasher methods.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness by sanitizing surfaces, countertops, and food prep areas, managing rubbish disposal responsibly.
- Support chefs by assisting with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
- Help with inventory by receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by keeping the kitchen orderly and ensuring equipment functions properly.
Requirements
- Physical endurance to stand for long durations and handle heavy lifting.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and sanitation practices is advantageous.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- No formal qualifications required, though a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
