Kitchen Porter

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team at the Halo Building in Bristol. This role involves maintaining a clean, organized kitchen to ensure smooth kitchen operations. The position offers a salary of up to £26,436.80 per year, working 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial dishwashers and hand-wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools.
• Sanitize and clean kitchen surfaces, countertops, and food preparation areas thoroughly.
• Manage waste by emptying bins and disposing of rubbish properly.
• Assist culinary staff with basic food preparation including peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
• Support inventory tasks by receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen supplies and ingredients.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards by keeping the kitchen clean and equipment well-maintained.

Qualifications and Skills

• No formal education requirement, though a secondary school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Physical endurance necessary for standing long periods and lifting heavy loads.
• Keen attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and equipment is advantageous.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
