Kitchen Porter - Night Shift

Role Overview

Join our team as a Kitchen Porter working night shifts from 7:30 pm to 3:30 am at the Amazon NCL2 location in Wynyard Park, Stockton-On-Tees. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about maintaining a spotless and efficiently organised kitchen environment that supports a smooth culinary operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform washing of dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools either manually or using commercial dishwashers
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitisation of kitchen surfaces, countertops, and food prep zones
• Dispose of refuse properly by emptying waste bins and managing kitchen waste
• Support kitchen staff in basic food preparation including peeling, chopping, and slicing
• Help with receiving, storing, and organising kitchen stock and ingredients
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards by keeping kitchen equipment clean and operational

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Physical endurance to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
• Attention to detail with an ability to follow instructions accurately
• Effective communication and a cooperative team spirit
• While no formal qualifications are mandatory, a high school diploma or equivalent is desirable
• Some familiarity with kitchen machinery and hygiene is advantageous
