About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mobile Maintenance Electrician to join a team servicing a leading supermarket contract in Bath and Chippenham. This permanent position offers a competitive annual salary inclusive of standby and competency payments, along with overtime and travel allowances. The role involves regular visits to retail outlets to carry out maintenance and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and catering equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules promptly and accurately, ensuring all documentation is properly completed.
- Perform both reactive and scheduled maintenance on catering and bakery equipment.
- Carry out emergency lighting and fire alarm system tests and necessary repairs.
- Conduct general repairs and ongoing maintenance across customer sites.
- Diagnose faults that cannot be repaired on site and promptly inform management with recommendations for replacements.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Possession of NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 236 Part 1 & 2 or equivalent qualifications in electrical installation and maintenance.
- Certification in City & Guilds 18th Edition.
- AM2 and/or City & Guilds 2391 qualifications.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual pay of £41,324.95, inclusive of standby duty (1:4 rotation covering 13 periods) and a competency payment of £1,500 after successful electrical fault training for catering and bakery equipment.
- Overtime compensated at 1.5 times rate Monday to Friday and double rate on weekends.
- Paid travel time beyond 30 minutes each way between sites.

Additional Information
The competency training is provided by the employer during the probation period and includes two separate one-week training blocks. This is a role with travel between locations, and travel time is compensated under specified conditions.
