Maintenance Assistant

About the Role

Point A Hotels in Harrow is seeking a dedicated full-time Maintenance Assistant to ensure the hotel remains safe, well-maintained, and ready for guests. This role involves managing both scheduled preventative maintenance and urgent reactive repairs, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house locations are maintained to high standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Front Desk and Housekeeping to promptly address maintenance requests minimizing disruptions to guests.
• Use the hotel’s compliance and maintenance platform to log and monitor maintenance tasks and completed work accurately.
• Effectively prioritize daily tasks balancing urgent repairs with scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant environment for guests, visitors, contractors, and staff.
• Perform maintenance duties including cleaning air-conditioning filters, descaling bathroom fixtures, silicone and grouting repairs, electrical repairs within training limits, basic plumbing tasks such as handling sink taps and mixers.
• Conduct water temperature checks and keep precise records.
• Carry out daily building compliance inspections and support monthly, quarterly, and annual preventative maintenance programs.
• Manage reactive repairs raised by guests or team members promptly.
• Receive and safely store maintenance deliveries and materials.
• Assist with contractor procedures including sign-in, permit-to-work compliance, and enforcing site safety.

• Certification for like-for-like electrical work (Saeker certificate).
