Job description
Role Overview
The Mass Production Materials Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of materials to client manufacturing partners. This position supports the deployment of computing, storage, and AI rack solutions to data centers and warehouses by overseeing material flows, streamlining supply chain functions, and fostering strong relationships with both internal teams and external suppliers.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage procurement and logistics by collaborating with original design manufacturers (ODMs), clients, and vendors to secure a complete bill of materials (BOM) for various programs, including materials at different levels (L6/L10/L11).
- Issue purchase orders to ODMs following directives.
- Partner with ODMs and supply/demand planning units to maintain accurate data on subcomponent availability.
- Ensure components and commodities are delivered on schedule according to client forecasts and risk/buy requirements, supporting Clear To Build (CTB) status.
- Drive material requirements planning (MRP) accuracy and compliance with forecasts and purchase orders.
- Identify potential material risks early, such as shortages or supply chain disruptions, and work proactively to mitigate them.
- Engage with commodity vendors managing client materials and provide onsite support for supplier execution to guarantee timely deliveries.
- Develop and sustain productive relationships with internal stakeholders, ODM partners, and suppliers to facilitate smooth communication and coordination.
- Monitor and report on supplier manufacturing schedules and capacity constraints.
