About Harvey
Harvey is pioneering the future of legal and professional services by integrating advanced agentic AI with an enterprise-grade platform and profound domain expertise. Our mission is to revolutionize how vital knowledge-intensive work is completed, supported by a rapidly scaling team and world-class investors. We operate under core values emphasizing decisive action, simplicity, and continuous improvement.
Role Summary
We are looking for a Manager to lead the Enterprise Application Engineering team in Dublin, spearheading the development of our internal business systems. This leadership role includes managing a team of Enterprise Application Engineers and AI Enablement Engineers who create the applications, integrations, and AI agents powering our business operations. The position demands a hands-on leader who actively contributes to coding and architecture, while also growing and shaping the team to meet strategic goals in a fast-growing international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, onboard, and manage a Dublin-based engineering team; oversee hiring processes, training plans, and performance evaluations.
- Remain technically engaged by designing systems, conducting code reviews, developing integrations, and resolving production issues to set a high technical standard.
- Manage the internal application ecosystem, ensuring the reliability, security, and lifecycle management of custom apps and automations involving platforms such as Salesforce, Workday, NetSuite, Okta, Marketo, Zendesk, Google Workspace, Slack, and others.
- Lead AI enablement initiatives by delivering AI agents, MCP servers, and internal AI tools that interface with our systems, including developing safety measures and promote adoption across business units.
- Collaborate with operational and systems stakeholders across departments such as Finance, HR, Marketing, Legal, and Customer Experience to translate ambiguous challenges into actionable engineering projects, while making clear decisions on project scope.
- Establish and uphold engineering standards relating to coding, testing, deployment, documentation, and monitoring that scale efficiently without unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Serve as the senior BizTech engineering contact in the EMEA region, coordinating closely with US teams to maintain organizational alignment during expansion.
- Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions based on cost, security, and long-term maintenance considerations to optimize business technology investments.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience managing engineering teams and 7+ years of direct experience in enterprise application, integration, or internal platform engineering.
- Proficient hands-on experience with modern programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, or Go, including designing and managing API-driven integrations across business systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of enterprise SaaS products (CRM, HRIS, ERP, IdP, marketing automation, customer support platforms) and associated business workflows like Lead-to-Cash and Hire-to-Retire.
- Proven capability in utilizing large language models or AI agents in production, with informed perspectives on evaluation techniques, safety guardrails, and technological limitations.
- Established track record in recruiting, mentoring engineers, and elevating technical quality within teams.
- Highly effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, especially with non-technical audiences.
- Adaptability in dynamic, high-growth, global company settings.
Additional Advantages
- Experience setting up internal business technology or enterprise engineering functions in new regional offices.
- Previous employment at fast-growing B2B SaaS firms scaling beyond 2,000 employees.
- Hands-on familiarity with MCP, orchestration frameworks for AI agents, or LLM gateway and monitoring tools.
- Regular use of agentic programming tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
- Experience with enterprise iPaaS systems (e.g., Workato) and event-driven integration architectures.
- Background in regulated industries such as legal or professional services.
