About the Role
Join the Credit Modelling team as a pivotal contributor responsible for overseeing the Credit Risk Capital Models within the organization. Key Responsibilities
Working closely with the Head of Credit Loss Modelling, you will steer project delivery and influence the strategic roadmap of the team. Your duties include managing and liaising with senior stakeholders on significant initiatives, leading the creation and upkeep of credit models, and constructing frameworks and components essential for robust model governance. You will also coordinate with second line risk teams, internal and external auditors, and regulators concerning credit and counterparty credit risk (CCR) model governance.
Candidate Profile
- Possess an advanced quantitative education, such as a postgraduate degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, engineering, or computer science.
- Extensive experience in internal ratings-based (IRB) model development, monitoring, and/or validation, alongside deep knowledge of financial markets, regulatory frameworks, and numerical/stochastic methodologies.
- At least four years’ tenure in the financial services sector, preferably within investment banking or trading contexts, complemented by strong skills in stakeholder engagement and communication.
- Technical proficiency in programming languages, particularly R and Python.
- Demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and capacity to work independently or collaboratively, managing multiple priorities effectively.
