Statistical Analyst

Overview

The Statistical Analyst position within the Planning & Quality Department focuses on gathering, examining, and interpreting statistical information to aid in strategic planning, organizational performance assessment, and enhancement of quality. This role involves delivering analytical insights, generating detailed statistical reports, and endorsing data-driven decision-making by applying a variety of statistical methodologies and data evaluation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Aggregate, verify, clean, and analyze data from diverse sources to guarantee accuracy and dependability.
• Apply statistical methods to detect trends, correlations, and identify performance deficiencies.
• Create regular statistical reports, dashboards, and summaries for management review.
• Contribute to the creation, tracking, and evaluation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Execute both descriptive and inferential statistical analyses to enhance planning and quality improvement efforts.
• Assist in forecasting, predictive modeling, and performance analyses utilizing suitable statistical techniques.
• Design data visualizations and interactive dashboards for effective communication of analytical outcomes.
• Support benchmarking exercises, surveys, and research activities using sound statistical methodologies.
• Ensure continuous monitoring of data quality and suggest refinements in data gathering and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal teams to comprehend analytical needs and offer data-centered suggestions.
• Employ statistical and business intelligence software including SPSS, R, Python, SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
• Draft technical documents, reports, and presentations summarizing key statistical results.
• Maintain adherence to data governance protocols, quality standards, and reporting obligations within the organization.
• Keep abreast of advancements in statistical techniques, analysis tools, and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Applied Statistics, Operations Research, or a similar quantitative discipline.
• A Master’s degree is desirable.
• Professional certifications related to Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, SQL, Power BI, or statistical software are advantageous.

Experience

• Between 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in statistical analysis, data analytics, business intelligence, or performance assessment.
• Preferred experience includes supporting strategic planning, quality control, or performance evaluation initiatives.
• Exposure to government or public sector environments is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

• Deep understanding of statistical concepts, quantitative analysis, and research strategies.
• Proficiency in statistical tools such as SPSS, R, Python, SAS, and database query languages like SQL.
