About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned iOS Developer to join a confidential technology product team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The position focuses on building and supporting high-scale native iOS applications, particularly those involving live video streaming, media delivery, and real-time performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and refine native iOS apps using Swift and SwiftUI frameworks.
• Create new features and custom modules from scratch to enhance functionality.
• Handle live and video streaming apps, improving media delivery processes.
• Implement and optimize video streaming techniques including HLS architecture.
• Detect and fix memory leaks, app crashes, and performance issues with Xcode tools including Instruments.
• Conduct advanced debugging, profiling, and performance assessments.
• Ensure real-time app stability, responsiveness, and scalability through troubleshooting and tuning.
• Work collaboratively with backend, product, and engineering teams to provide scalable and robust solutions.
• Incorporate software design patterns such as MVVM, MVP, or VIPER into application architecture.
• Develop and maintain thorough unit testing protocols and adhere to best engineering practices.
• Manage communication with REST APIs, parse JSON/XML, and use local data storage technologies like Core Data and SQLite.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines and support app release processes using Git and Fastlane.

Required Expertise

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in professional native iOS development.
• Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI development environments.
• Competent in Objective-C programming.
• Solid background in live streaming, video OTT platforms, or media delivery systems.
• Deep knowledge of HLS protocols and video streaming system architecture.
• Expertise in using Xcode Instruments for profiling and debugging.
• Experience resolving performance challenges in real-time applications.
• Capability to handle applications with user bases in the millions.
• Strong grasp of iOS architectural patterns and design principles.
• Technical familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON handling.
• Experience working with local database technologies such as Core Data or SQLite.
• Skillful use of Git version control and Fastlane for deployment automation.
• Required exposure to WebRTC, HLS, or IVS streaming technologies.
• Proven ability to write unit tests and utilize iOS testing frameworks effectively.
