Job Description and Responsibilities
- Execute preventive maintenance on equipment including program vehicles, plumbing fixtures like faucets and toilets, and lighting installations.
- Carry out minor renovation tasks such as drywall installation, painting, basic electrical repairs, and plumbing.
- Troubleshoot building systems at a basic level to identify and resolve issues.
- Assist in drafting specifications for tenders and monitor the workmanship quality of external contractors and maintenance staff.
- Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies to relevant departments.
- Perform food and other item pickups and deliveries as required.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned within the role’s scope.
Candidate Requirements
- Completion of high school education is required; alternative education and experience may be considered.
- Between one and three years of relevant work experience encompassing custodial tasks, computer literacy, and general repair skills including electrical and plumbing work.
- Possession of necessary certifications or licenses as applicable.
Physical and Mental Demands
- Ability to operate industrial tools and testing equipment.
- Perform tasks involving painting, plastering, bending, twisting, lifting, and occasional use of ladders.
- Fine motor skills for handling small equipment parts in confined spaces.
- Moderate concentration required when consulting equipment manuals to ensure safe operations.
Financial and Human Resource Responsibilities
- Occasional involvement in minor financial transactions and responsible management of personal resources.
- May have limited authority to handle small amounts of cash and minimal involvement in annual budgeting.
- Accountable primarily for own time and work output, with occasional mentoring of new employees, volunteers, or students.
Compensation and Accommodations
- Salary range targets start at $18.57 hourly, with the potential to reach up to $21.61 based on experience, skills, and market conditions.
