Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Bias

Role Overview

This position involves delivering Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM), proactive, and reactive repairs as assigned through the helpdesk, ensuring all work is completed within designated timelines to meet customer expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Carrying out plumbing tasks on-site when required.
• Providing technical engineering services with minimal supervision covering mechanical servicing, repairs, maintenance, and installations.
• Maintaining and servicing additional assets and trades for which the engineer is competent.
• Assessing equipment performance to guarantee proper maintenance and service of contract-bound equipment.
• Having foundational knowledge across multiple trades.
• Performing general building repairs and supporting other internal trade teams, including minor plumbing fixes, tiling, painting, decorating, and wet trades.
• Assisting project teams with refurbishment efforts.
• Supporting site engineers in maintenance activities such as legionella inspections and building fabric upkeep.
• Adhering strictly to health and safety regulations and company quality and environmental standards.

Qualifications and Essential Criteria

• Must hold the legal right to work in the UK.
• Experience in Facilities Management roles is required.
• Proficient in operating electronic handheld devices.
• Holder of a full clean UK driving licence.
• Possession of an electrical craft qualification such as a City & Guilds 2350 NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Engineering plus AM2, or an equivalent recognized electrical apprenticeship.
• Current qualification in wiring regulations, equivalent to City & Guilds 2381-18 Level 3 Award (18th Edition).
• Valid and current Grade card, CSCS card, or an equivalent credential.

Desired Qualifications

• An Inspection & Testing certificate like City & Guilds 2391-52 Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations is preferred.
