Role Overview

The Maintenance Supervisor position is a full-time, on-location role situated in Dubai. The supervisor is responsible for managing daily maintenance operations and directing the activities of maintenance technicians. Key duties encompass planning, delegating, and overseeing maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring these are executed safely, promptly, and in line with quality requirements. This role also involves orchestrating preventive maintenance programs, inspecting facilities and equipment, and promptly resolving emergency breakdowns and service requests.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily maintenance activities, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to standard.
• Organize and implement preventive maintenance schedules to enhance equipment reliability and limit downtime.
• Inspect and troubleshoot building systems, mechanical and electrical equipment to diagnose problems and deliver corrective solutions.
• Monitor maintenance documentation and maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections.
• Collaborate closely with other departments and clients to prioritize maintenance workloads.
• Provide leadership and guidance to maintenance staff, fostering adherence to safety protocols.
• Enforce compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and permit-to-work procedures.
• Support the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and team performance.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership experience supervising maintenance teams, including task assignment and performance monitoring.
• Practical knowledge in equipment upkeep and preventive maintenance strategies to reduce operational interruptions.
• Competence in mechanical, electrical, or building system maintenance and repair.
• Strong analytical skills to effectively troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions.
• Previous work experience in facility or industrial maintenance in the UAE or GCC region is desirable.
• Familiarity with safety standards and permit-to-work systems ensuring HSE compliance.
• Capability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance plans.
• Effective communication and organizational skills to manage various tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
• Technical diploma or certification in engineering, maintenance, or related disciplines; advanced qualifications are preferred.
• Proficiency with basic computer software and maintenance management systems (CMMS) is advantageous.
