Job description
Role Overview
As a Maintenance Assistant at our school, you will play a vital role in ensuring the facility remains a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for children with special educational needs. This position involves performing routine repairs, maintaining school vehicles, and keeping the grounds orderly. Additionally, you will be supported with training on child safeguarding to confidently interact with the young people in our care.
About Our School
Hilden Park School is a newly built, cutting-edge school dedicated primarily to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger’s, and speech, language, and communication needs. The school serves up to 72 students aged 8 to 16, providing an exceptional educational environment with individual progress and care as priorities.

Candidate Profile
- Possess maintenance skills either professionally acquired or enthusiastic DIY experience
- Exhibit a proactive “can do” approach and collaborate well as a team member
- Capable of managing the purchase of minor maintenance tools and supplies independently
- A willingness to complete Health & Safety and other mandatory training
