Machine Operator - Day Shift

Role Purpose

The Machine Operator position involves initiating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operating manufacturing machinery with an emphasis on safety and efficiency. There are three levels of Machine Operators, determined by experience and skill in independently handling machine-related issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to safety guidelines both written and spoken to ensure safe operations.
• Operate and maintain designated machinery following prescribed work procedures.
• Consistently achieve or surpass production rate goals as per standards.
• Ensure products comply with specified tolerances and quality parameters.
• Conduct periodic quality inspections according to standards.
• Interpret and follow production instructions accurately.
• Maintain precise documentation related to production processes.
• Package, label, and store finished goods appropriately.
• Acquire cross-training on other production tasks as business demands.
• Keep the work area clean and organized to maintain machinery functionality.
• Report safety, quality, or mechanical concerns promptly and assist in their resolution.
• Engage proactively in continuous improvement initiatives.
• When applicable, set up and operate secondary or off-line equipment.

• No formal educational credentials are required for this role.
• No prior work experience or training needed before joining.
• Must be able to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail.
• Demonstrates attributes of reliability, flexibility, and dependability.

Physical Requirements

• Must be physically able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, taste, smell, and lift weights up to 50 pounds.

• Anticipated hourly earnings range from $22.06 to $25.09 depending on qualifications and operational needs.
