Role Overview
As a Line Coordinator based in Napier, New Zealand, you will play a pivotal leadership role within our Production Manufacturing team. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will oversee multiple production lines, ensuring seamless assembly operations, adherence to high-quality standards, and collaboration with various teams including Training Specialists, Manufacturing Engineers, and Quality Development.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage and lead production lines to meet operational objectives, utilizing ABB tools such as the NCR database and Kaizen application to uphold quality standards.
- Handle essential production administrative duties including recording time and attendance, managing material picking, tracking yields, confirming and booking finished goods.
- Plan production sequencing, coordinate documentation and materials, and manage timing to fulfill production schedules and meet On-Time Delivery key performance indicators.
- Promote continuous improvement through Lean Six Sigma methodologies, resolve quality issues, and encourage effective communication within teams.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- In-depth understanding of Lean and Six Sigma principles alongside manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate teams and drive results.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Excel; knowledgeable in assembly tools, methodologies, and technical processes.
- Extensive background in assembly operations, capable of interpreting technical blueprints and instructions.
- Competent in using light hand tools and adhering to standardized operating procedures to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Must have permanent legal authorization to work in New Zealand.
