Role Overview

We seek a driven Maintenance Supervisor & Planning Coordinator to lead our maintenance team and enhance asset reliability on our busy production site.

This role suits experienced tradespeople or maintenance leaders who excel in managing teams, planning maintenance activities, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvements. You'll help ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operation while advancing maintenance best practices.

Primary Duties

• Lead and organize daily operations of the maintenance team.
• Schedule and plan preventative maintenance and shutdown activities.
• Support plant reliability through strategic maintenance and asset management.
• Oversee engineering stores, spare parts, and maintenance resources management.
• Investigate equipment breakdowns and identify improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate contractors ensuring safe, efficient completion of tasks.
• Assist in implementing maintenance systems, processes, and continuous improvement projects.
• Support installations of new equipment and plant upgrades.
• Champion a robust culture of health, safety, and food safety site-wide.

Candidate Profile

• Hold relevant engineering qualifications.
• Experience in maintenance within manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory skills.
• Committed to developing team capability via coaching and succession planning, with aspirations for broader leadership roles.
• Strong skills in planning, organization, and problem-solving.
• Proficient with maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Good understanding of health and safety standards.
• Excellent communication skills and capacity to foster strong working relationships.
• Proactive in continuous improvement, familiar with Lean Manufacturing and 5S methodologies, applying practical measures to enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in food processing or similar manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance and condition monitoring techniques.
• Experience in managing maintenance inventory and critical spares.
• Lean Manufacturing or Yellow Belt certification, or a willingness to obtain.
