Lead Software Developer - Java Full Stack with Angular

About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Software Developer to join a team focused on delivering and maintaining a robust product lifecycle platform driven by technologies such as Java, Angular, Kafka, and PostgreSQL. This role operates within an AI-focused environment that integrates AI-driven operations and software development lifecycle practices early on. The platform supports microservices at industrial-scale throughput.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the product lifecycle platform using Java, Angular, and PostgreSQL technologies.
• Support and manage a microservices-based architecture designed to handle large-scale workloads.
• Adhere to established engineering principles and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes during development.
• Facilitate integration of services through RESTful APIs and other service-to-service communication methods.
• Ensure platform reliability and availability, operating on a 24/5 schedule with 24/7 support for priority incidents.
• Perform code reviews and actively contribute to testing activities within the engineering team.
• Respond constructively to feedback and proactively ask questions to enhance project outcomes.
• Adapt quickly to changes in the development environment while embracing modern engineering techniques.

Candidate Requirements

• A strong experience range of 8 to 12 years in developing Java full stack applications using Angular.
• Proficient understanding of REST API design and inter-service communication patterns.
• Deep commitment to following defined coding standards and CI/CD methodologies.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and accept constructive criticism within a team setting.
• Detail-focused mindset tuned towards ensuring high availability in production environments.
• English language proficiency at B2 (Upper Intermediate) level or higher.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Familiarity with Kafka, PostgreSQL, or Elasticsearch technologies.
• Understanding of hexagonal and microservices architectural patterns.
• Experience working in teams that follow structured code review and testing procedures.
