About the Role and Company
We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer specializing in Java with Spring Boot to lead backend system architecture and develop robust services at scale. You will be responsible for delivering solutions using Java 21 and Spring Boot, running microservices on Azure Cloud combined with Kubernetes, while ensuring top-notch quality and security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop enterprise-level applications leveraging Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Design and execute microservices architectures hosted on cloud platforms.
- Create RESTful APIs and ensure seamless integration with frontend components.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to produce scalable and maintainable software solutions.
- Lead code reviews and mentor team members promoting best technical practices.
- Drive architectural decisions to maintain high standards of quality, security, reliability, and compliance.
- Adopt Agile and DevOps methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues spanning the full application stack.
- Deploy and operate services utilizing containerization technologies and orchestration tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years practical experience designing and developing solutions using Java 21, Quarkus, and Java/JEE technologies.
- Extensive knowledge in Spring Boot, Spring Security frameworks, and JUnit testing.
- Proficient with relational databases, notably Oracle, Sybase, and PL/SQL programming.
- Strong background in microservices design and implementation, alongside experience with Azure Cloud and serverless computing.
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes concepts, including pods, containers, services, and Istio.
- Hands-on expertise with Docker containerization and Redis in-memory data structures.
- Skilled in designing RESTful APIs and integrating backend with front-end platforms.
- Experience with Git version control, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices.
- Possesses a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Raised understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and React framework including Hooks.
- Knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript languages.
- Experience in performance tuning and applying DevOps principles.
- Capability to translate UX designs into responsive, scalable, maintainable UI implementations using accepted standards and design patterns.
