About the Role and Company
EPAM Systems, a global leader in digital transformation services since 1993, is seeking a seasoned Cloud Platform Architect specializing in AWS with AI expertise. This position involves spearheading the design and deployment of large-scale cloud and generative AI (GenAI) solutions within complex enterprise settings. EPAM combines innovative strategy and engineering excellence to transform enterprises across education, healthcare, and other sectors worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and deployment of GenAI solutions leveraging AWS Bedrock and Bedrock Agent Core, aligning with corporate AI strategies.
- Create Python-based automation scripts, system integrations, validation tools, and technical assessment utilities to support cloud and AI solutions.
- Architect secure, scalable, and highly available AWS cloud environments adhering to enterprise governance and compliance standards.
- Drive AWS Landing Zone implementations, multi-account governance configurations, and manage cloud platform engineering projects.
- Manage cloud migration evaluations, modernization approaches, implementation planning, and post-migration enhancements.
- Automate provisioning and operational processes of cloud infrastructure using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Python scripting.
- Develop and enforce IAM policies, Service Control Policies (SCPs), security mechanisms, backup plans, disaster recovery, and monitoring across AWS environments.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, engineering, and delivery teams to establish architecture roadmaps and cloud transformation strategies.
Required Qualifications
- 12 to 16 years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock and Bedrock Agent Core for implementing enterprise GenAI and agentic AI solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in Python for cloud automation and AI-driven development.
- Expertise in designing GenAI architectures on AWS using Bedrock, relevant APIs, and orchestration frameworks.
- Proven ability to architect enterprise-grade AWS cloud infrastructures and multi-account management strategies.
- Comprehensive knowledge of AWS Landing Zone, AWS Organizations, Control Tower, SCPs, IAM, and governance frameworks.
- Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, RDS, ELB, S3, CloudTrail, AWS Config, and GuardDuty.
- Experience managing AWS cloud migration projects, including application and server migration with Migration Factory methodologies.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
- Competency with containerization and orchestration technologies including Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, as well as experience with cloud monitoring tools in production AWS environments.
- Ability to produce detailed architecture and design documentation, solution diagrams, and governance materials.
Preferred but Not Mandatory
- Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Specialty certifications.
- Experience with agentic AI frameworks, orchestration platforms, and initiatives focused on enterprise AI modernization.
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud connectivity, enterprise system integrations, and cloud modernization efforts.
