About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter for our London location, working 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, organized kitchen that operates efficiently and supports the entire hospitality team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment manually or with industrial dishwashers.
  • Ensure kitchen surfaces, countertops, and food prep areas are clean and sanitized.
  • Dispose of waste responsibly by emptying rubbish bins appropriately.
  • Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks including peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
  • Help receive, store, and organize kitchen supplies and ingredients.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety standards by keeping the kitchen clean and ensuring equipment functions properly.

Qualifications and Skills

  • No mandatory formal education; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Physical endurance to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
  • Strong focus on detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and hygiene practices is advantageous.
  • Good communication and ability to work well within a team.
