Job Summary

The Porter role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in front-of-house areas including tables, counters, floors, windows, and beverage stations to ensure a smooth and hygienic dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Clear, bus, and clean tables and floors efficiently, especially during peak hours, and prepare areas prior to service.
• Transport dishes and utensils safely to kitchen using trays, bus tubs, or carts following safety protocols.
• Wash dishes, glasses, pots; clean cooking stations and equipment ensuring sanitation standards are met.
• Scrape, rinse, and clean food residues from dishes by hand or with machinery, ensuring thorough sanitation.
• Maintain cleanliness of display equipment and comply with safety and sanitation requirements throughout meal service.
• Assist with receiving heavy deliveries and moving items to storage while adhering to safe lifting practices.
• Follow HACCP standards by ensuring correct portion control, food presentation, and serving temperature maintenance.
• Adhere to safety practices such as using cut gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned, maintaining a personal commitment to safety for self and others.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Porter is mandatory.
• Ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Commitment to follow company policies, safety standards, and sanitation procedures.
• Willingness to work varying full-time schedules; details to be provided during interview.
