About the Role

Talbot Hotel Clonmel, part of the renowned Talbot Collection, is seeking dedicated full-time and part-time Kitchen Porters to join its hospitality team. Candidates must be adaptable, a team player, and available to work midweek and weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain exceptional cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen sections in line with hotel and safety standards.
• Manage specific areas including washing pots, organizing storage for pots and pans, maintaining kitchen/larder space and surrounding areas, waste disposal zones, and staff areas.
• Execute cleaning duties according to a structured schedule, ensuring all daily and weekly checklists are accurately completed.
• Clean pots, pans, and kitchen equipment meticulously and ensure proper, tidy storage.
• Empty bins as required to maintain a clean working environment.
• Conduct thorough deep cleans of kitchen, larder, equipment, and storage locations periodically.
• Maintain storage for cleaning supplies such as mops, brushes, and detergents, using protective clothing when handling hazardous materials.
• Promptly report faulty or damaged equipment to the senior chef on duty.
• Uphold hotel customer relations strategy, supporting 4-star quality standards at all times.
• Observe all fire, safety, and hygiene policies, complying fully with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2005.
• Report incidents involving accidents or damage within the hotel promptly.
• Familiarize with and adhere to company policies and handbook guidelines.
• Take necessary precautions to protect company property and assets.
• Communicate customer feedback to management effectively.

Candidate Profile

• Previous hotel experience is preferred but not essential.
• Availability to work during the midweek and weekends is mandatory.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts is required.
