Role Overview
As a Kitchen Porter, you will be a crucial part of the back-of-house team reporting directly to the Executive Chef. Your responsibilities include ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently by maintaining cleanliness, organizing stock and delivery areas, supporting the chefs and service teams by preparing food stations, and upholding hygiene and safety standards to foster a smooth kitchen operation.
Key Duties
- Work swiftly to support kitchen operations.
- Maintain pristine cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and back-of-house areas.
- Handle washing of pots, pans, plates, and cutlery, and return them promptly without prompting.
- Prepare and keep food prep surfaces clean and fully stocked with necessary plates and utensils.
- Manage unloading and systematic arrangement of deliveries and storage areas.
- Monitor supply levels like detergents and inform the Head Chef when orders are needed.
- Maintain constant communication with team members to ensure seamless kitchen workflow.
- Accept and execute additional tasks as assigned by management.
