Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Test Analyst to join our Hamilton-based product-focused engineering team. This role provides a valuable chance to grow your career in software testing, combining manual testing duties with opportunities to develop skills in test automation. You will collaborate with experienced testers to design and execute test cases, investigate and clearly report defects, ensuring our software meets both customer expectations and technical standards.

Key Duties

• Develop and execute test cases derived from requirements and acceptance criteria
• Identify and examine software defects and document them thoroughly for replication and resolution
• Support manual testing for new features, updates, and bug fixes
• Partner closely with developers, testers, and product teams to enhance quality
• Grow your understanding of testing methodologies, automation, and tools
• Offer suggestions to refine testing processes and software delivery

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is curious, meticulous, and motivated to advance a career in software testing. You enjoy dissecting how software operates, asking insightful questions, and collaborating to overcome challenges. Prior experience in testing, internships, or early-stage technology roles are advantageous but not mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Some experience or exposure to software testing, quality assurance, or development
• Interest in creating manual test cases and documenting defects
• Basic grasp of software development lifecycle concepts
• Strong attention to detail with logical problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and enthusiasm for learning
• Familiarity with SQL, databases, scripting, or test automation considered a plus

Relevant study, such as ISTQB Foundation certification, is helpful but not essential.
