Operating mainly in regions including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, Xe is currently reconstructing its platform layer to better serve corporate and consumer clients, backed by Euronet Worldwide.

Role Overview

This mid-level full-stack engineering role involves owning end-to-end solutions, from designing APIs and crafting user interfaces to managing backend services, ensuring system reliability, and supporting deployment. The position emphasizes frequent use of AI-powered coding tools to enhance development efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver features spanning the technological stack that facilitate money movement and manage multi-currency balances across domains such as onboarding, KYC/KYB, payment initiation, FX, settlement, and related services.
• Create and deploy customer-facing functionalities that impact daily user experiences.
• Take full ownership of services in production, including their reliability, monitoring, on-call duties, and incident management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and compliance personnel from problem definition through to launch.
• Utilize agentic coding tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) on a daily basis for prototyping, refactoring, testing, and documentation tasks.
• Assist in modernizing the platform by migrating components from legacy architecture to a modern stack alongside architects and team leads.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 3 to 6 years of experience building production-grade web applications with full-stack responsibilities.
• Advanced frontend skills using frameworks like Vue.js, React, or comparable alternatives.
• Strong backend programming ability, preferably in C# / .NET; other object-oriented languages like Java, Kotlin, or Go are acceptable.
• Competency in SQL and foundational knowledge of relational databases.
• Commitment to test-driven development or maintaining tests within the software delivery lifecycle.
• Regular use of AI-enhanced coding tools throughout development stages.
• Hands-on experience deploying applications on AWS and familiarity with native AWS services such as SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, and Lambda.
• Firm grasp of computer science fundamentals and pragmatic approaches to system design.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with engineering, product, and design colleagues.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in payments, foreign exchange, or regulated industries.
• Background in service-oriented or microservices architectures.
• Exposure to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and contemporary deployment workflows.
• Understanding of frontend essentials including responsive design, accessibility, performance optimization, and internationalization.
• Knowledge of caching technologies such as Memcached or Redis.
• Familiarity with project management and documentation tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Experience using API testing applications like Postman or Bruno.
• Developing automated tests alongside coding with AI assistance.
