Java Spring Boot Developer with Expertise in Google Cloud Dataflow

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with a strong focus on Spring Boot and Google Cloud Dataflow technology. This role involves developing robust Java applications leveraging microservices architecture and managing data processing workflows on Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud engineering, data engineering, and Java development with a strong record of delivering batch and real-time data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java applications using Java 8, 11, or 17 versions.
• Build microservices and RESTful APIs utilizing Spring Boot framework.
• Design and implement data pipelines using Google Cloud Dataflow and Apache Beam.
• Handle batch processing and real-time streaming data solutions.
• Work with Google Cloud Platform services such as Pub/Sub, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage for data storage and messaging.
• Ensure secure application development using Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Hibernate.
• Manage schema design, SQL query optimization, and data transformation processes.
• Use version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, or Gradle for build and deployment automation.
• Monitor applications for performance tuning, logging, production support, and incident management.
• Engage with stakeholders through effective communication and troubleshooting to maintain service quality.

Candidate Requirements

• 6 to 10 years of experience in Java development, cloud engineering, or data engineering roles.
• Proficiency in Java 8/11/17 and Spring Boot framework.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Google Cloud Dataflow and Apache Beam technologies.
• Experience in designing and deploying batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Hands-on working knowledge of GCP services including Pub/Sub, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage.
• Strong SQL skills along with data transformation and schema design expertise.
• Familiarity with Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, and implementation of application security best practices.
• Experience using Git, Jenkins or equivalent continuous integration and delivery tools, as well as Maven or Gradle build tools.
• Background in performance monitoring, logging, production support, and incident resolution.
• Excellent analytical capabilities, problem-solving skills, and ability to coordinate with various stakeholders.
• Immediate availability preferred.
