Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer with 5 to 7 years of hands-on expertise based in Doha, Qatar. Candidates who can join immediately or within 30 days are preferred.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust, production-ready REST APIs and microservices.
- Architect APIs focused on security and scalability, handling HTTP methods, request/response protocols, and API security mechanisms.
- Manage and optimize data handling with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB, including schema design and query tuning.
- Deploy backend services on cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP leveraging containerization with Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes, supported by CI/CD pipelines.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Java versions 8 and 11 with strong knowledge of Core Java concepts.
- Experience with Spring Boot framework to develop scalable applications.
- Working knowledge of Microservices architecture and Hibernate ORM.
- Hands-on with REST APIs, web services, and participation in Agile development processes.
Desirable Technologies
- Familiarity with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Exposure to integrating AI model inference within backend infrastructure.
- Experience or interest in leveraging large language model frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph.
