Job Overview

We are looking for a precise and analytical ITS Asset Manager specializing in Roads Operations & Maintenance, to be based in Doha, Qatar. The role acts as the liaison between ITS technical and operational teams and the asset management function, focusing on gathering and analyzing operational, maintenance, performance, and lifecycle data from road/tunnel control centers, communication networks, and related systems to generate asset management insights and strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage ITS infrastructure assets such as Road and Tunnel Control Centers, communication networks (fiber backbones, switches, transmission systems), SCADA/ATMS platforms, server rooms, power and UPS systems.
• Collaborate with core ITS technical teams to gather, verify, and organize asset and maintenance data pertinent to asset management.
• Formulate maintenance strategies for assets in partnership with technical experts.
• Maintain and enhance asset registries, hierarchies, and classifications in line with contract requirements and best practices in asset management.
• Analyze maintenance data including metrics like MTBF, MTTR, availability, and failure patterns to transform operational KPIs into meaningful asset performance indicators.
• Establish standards for condition assessments and performance scoring to help prioritize based on risk.
• Support planning for asset lifecycle, renewal forecasting, and long-term capital investments.
• Identify recurring equipment failures, systemic risks, and obsolescence issues, proposing mitigation measures.
• Prepare detailed reports and dashboards on asset performance for both internal management and client communication.
• Ensure data accuracy within Enterprise Asset Management Systems (EAMS), including proper failure coding and asset tagging.
• Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to integrate ITS operations with asset management effectively.
• Assist with audits, compliance reviews, and asset-related contractual deliverables.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in maintenance methods and asset governance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Systems Engineering or related fields.
• At least 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in infrastructure O&M, ITS systems, or asset management environments.
• Robust understanding of asset management concepts, lifecycle planning, and performance tracking.
• Proficient with Enterprise Asset Management Systems and infrastructure data handling.
• Knowledgeable about control centers, communications networks, SCADA/ATMS platforms, and critical IT infrastructure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail and adept at managing structured asset information.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate within multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with GCC infrastructure or transport authority projects is preferred.
• Certification in Asset Management such as IAM or CMRP is a plus.
