Position Overview

The role of Operations Director – EPC requires taking sole operational responsibility for the company's EPC project portfolio. Reporting directly to the VP – EPC, the successful candidate will unify Projects, Engineering, and Procurement & Subcontracts divisions under cohesive leadership to ensure projects are executed safely, within schedule, budget, and meet client expectations. This role is senior with substantial influence and is part of the company's planned growth stage.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead the operational delivery of EPC projects across both onshore and offshore locations.
• Provide integrated leadership encompassing Projects, Engineering, and Procurement & Subcontracts teams.
• Ensure adherence to schedules, budgets, quality standards, health, safety, and environmental commitments as agreed upon with clients.
• Maintain comprehensive portfolio-level insight into priorities, resource allocation, performance metrics, risks, and operational constraints.
• Mentor and develop Project Managers, fostering accountability and uniform delivery standards.
• Coordinate engineering outputs and procurement with construction requirements and project timelines.
• Collaborate with Planning and Project Controls to enhance forecasting accuracy and budget oversight.
• Liaise with Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, and QHSE departments to facilitate seamless project execution.
• Address and resolve inter-project and cross-functional challenges promptly, minimizing escalations.
• Engage with senior clients on critical project delivery aspects.
• Champion ongoing improvements in EPC methodologies, systems, and digital transformations.
• Build leadership capabilities within projects and aid succession planning for the EPC division.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering field.
• Extensive senior leadership experience within Oil & Gas EPC project execution.
• Demonstrated history of managing multiple complex projects and multidisciplinary teams both onshore and offshore.
• In-depth knowledge of engineering, procurement, subcontracting, construction, and project control processes.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Proficient in senior stakeholder engagement and confident in decision-making.
• Experience executing projects in the UAE, particularly with ADNOC, is essential.
