Position Overview

The role of IT Security Architect demands solid expertise in enterprise security architecture, secure solution design, and strategic technology planning. This position is crucial within Citco's IT Security team, tasked with converting business, regulatory, and risk requirements into secure, scalable, and technology-neutral architectural designs to support the company’s global objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and continuously refine enterprise security architecture roadmaps aligned with business goals, technology strategies, and risk management.
  • Create target security architectures facilitating enterprise transformation, cloud integration, and modernization efforts.
  • Develop high-level and conceptual security designs ensuring security mandates are integrated early in project lifecycles.
  • Maintain enterprise-wide security reference architectures, design standards, and reusable security frameworks across various domains including network, cloud, application, data, endpoint, and identity.
  • Set security control requirements, integration schemas, and architectural principles to ensure uniformity and scalability across platforms.
  • Review technology proposals and participate in architecture review boards to guarantee compliance with security standards and regulations.
  • Offer technical guidance to project teams and architects throughout development cycles.
  • Investigate new technologies, cyber threats, and industry trends to advise enhancements for the security architecture and strategy.
  • Evaluate security technology solutions to support informed vendor selection and strategic investments.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Cloud Services, Application Development, Risk, and Security Operations to embed security in solutions.
  • Oversee architecture consistency during implementation to ensure compliance with approved security designs and governance policies.
  • Participate in major security incident responses by providing architecture expertise, impact assessments, and remediation recommendations.
  • Conduct post-deployment architecture reviews to identify improvements and optimize security frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain key deliverables such as security blueprints, reference architectures, standards, roadmaps, and documentation of architectural decisions.
  • Stay informed on best practices, emerging tech, compliance mandates, and evolving security frameworks to continuously advance Citco’s security architecture capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Over 8 years of relevant experience in information security, enterprise architecture, or related technology areas, including significant work in security architecture.
  • Proven track record in designing enterprise security architectures covering hybrid infrastructure, cloud, network, applications, identity, and data protection domains.
  • Strong grasp of enterprise architecture principles, secure design methods, and embedding security by design.
  • Experience creating security reference architectures, standards, technology roadmaps, and overseeing design governance.
  • Expertise in cloud security, zero trust frameworks, identity and access management, network and application security, data protection, and infrastructure security.
  • Experience integrating security requirements within enterprise technology projects and collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Knowledgeable in security risk management, regulatory compliance, and frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and Zero Trust Architecture.
  • Skilled in assessing emerging technologies’ security impacts within complex environments.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities balancing business, security, and operational demands.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey architectural concepts effectively to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Capability to influence architectural decisions and build alignment across diverse technical and business stakeholders.
  • Preferred certifications include CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, TOGAF, GIAC, Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert, or equivalent industry credentials.
