Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Technician

Role Overview

As an Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Technician, you will play a vital role in the upkeep, problem-solving, and enhancement of industrial control systems that manage HVAC and critical infrastructure. Your work will ensure these systems function safely, reliably, and efficiently.

Key Duties

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC-related ICS and building automation systems.
• Monitor, calibrate, and fine-tune HVAC control setups for peak performance and energy conservation.
• Identify and fix electrical, mechanical, and software faults in ICS elements like PLCs, sensors, actuators, and control panels.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on control systems and HVAC machinery following operational guidelines.
• Work alongside engineering teams to apply system improvements and upgrades.
• Accurately document all maintenance actions, repairs, and modifications per company and regulatory standards.
• Adhere to all relevant safety protocols including electrical, mechanical, and industrial safety regulations.
• Provide expert technical advice and support to junior technicians and operations staff.

Qualifications and Experience

• High School Diploma or an equivalent certification.
• At least five years of specialized experience in Industrial Control Systems.
• Operator training certification focused on Building Automation Systems.
• Confirmed experience with HVAC control, building automation, and industrial control platforms such as PLC, DCS, and SCADA.
• Solid understanding of electrical circuits, sensors, actuators, and control panel hardware.
• Practical skills in diagnosing and repairing ICS equipment.
• Knowledge of safety and quality standards applicable in industrial and military environments is advantageous.
• Capable of interpreting schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals with proficiency.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.

Additional Requirements

• Must hold a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
• Possession of a valid U.S. Passport is preferred.
• Comply with current USCENTCOM Deployment Policies as specified in APR 23 MOD EIGHTEEN.
• Ability to acquire and maintain a valid residency visa for Qatar.
• Prepared to work in harsh conditions involving dust and high temperatures.
• Capability to sustain long hours and endure exposure to adverse weather and hazardous settings.

Travel and Clearance

This position requires 100% travel to deployed locations and mandates holding and maintaining a DoD Secret Clearance.
