Plumbing Section Lead

Role Overview

As the Plumbing Section Lead, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and associated facilities. This role involves installation, repair, overhaul, and ongoing maintenance of diverse mechanical equipment and engines utilized in domestic, commercial, industrial, and agricultural settings.

Key Duties

• Assemble, install, and repair piping, fittings, and fixtures for heating, water, and drainage systems in line with technical specifications and plumbing regulations.
• Analyze building plans and blueprints to plan tools and work sequence efficiently.
• Examine building structures to avoid damage or weakening during pipe installations by marking pipe routes and openings.
• Create openings in walls and floors using appropriate hand and power tools to fit pipes and fittings; cut, thread, and bend pipes accurately using specialized equipment.
• Install valves, pipes, and fittings made from various metals (iron, steel, brass, lead) and non-metals (glass, vitrified clay, plastic).
• Securely join pipes with screws, bolts, fittings, solder, solvents, and caulking; perform pressure tests to detect leaks.
• Install and service plumbing fixtures, including sinks, toilets, bathtubs, water heaters, softeners, dishwashers, and disposal units.
• Maintain plumbing systems through tasks such as fixing leaks, repairing burst pipes, clearing blockages, and welding fixtures to structural steel.

Educational & Professional Background

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Possession of a Master or Journeyman Plumbing License is mandatory.
• A minimum of five years of experience in plumbing roles.
• At least three years of focused experience in backflow inspection, testing, and maintenance of prevention devices and systems.

Additional Requirements

• Must hold a valid U.S. Driver's License.
• Possession of a valid U.S. Passport is preferable.
• Compliance with current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy (APR 23 MOD EIGHTEEN) is required.
• Ability to obtain and sustain valid Residency Visa for Qatar.
• Capability to work under extreme environmental conditions, including exposure to dust, high temperatures, long hours, weather elements, and hazardous environments.

Travel and Security Clearance

This role requires full-time travel (100%) to deployed locations. Candidates must hold and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance.
