Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain identity services securing customer access across Macquarie's financial platforms.
• Contribute to scalable distributed identity and authentication service development for secure user authentication, authorization, and API access.
• Engage in full software lifecycle activities from design and coding through to production deployment and operations.
• Collaborate closely with identity, platform, and application teams to maintain security, reliability, and observability of systems.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices within the team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience working with Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems and related authentication flows.
• Strong understanding of key identity protocols and standards such as OpenID Connect (OIDC), OAuth, and Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML).
• Hands-on expertise with IAM platforms including Ping, Okta, Entra ID, IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM), or equivalent.
• Knowledge of web and API technologies (REST, HTTP, TLS certificates) essential for success.
• Familiarity with cloud environments and Software as a Service (SaaS) technologies.
• Experience implementing and working within Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and modern software engineering methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
