Senior Software Engineer - Backend

About the Role

The Senior Software Engineer is tasked with developing, designing, and maintaining scalable back-end applications. This position demands strong technical expertise, leadership in solution design, and active collaboration across teams to deliver high-quality software that enhances digital experiences.

• Design, develop, test, and manage applications and integration systems.
• Promptly troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges, ensure system stability, and participate in after-hours support when necessary.
• Uphold best practices for API design, coding standards, performance, and security.
• Work with project groups from idea inception through delivery to meet both business and technical needs.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to less experienced developers.
• Document throughout the software development lifecycle to maintain transparency and knowledge sharing.
• Implement changes in line with design specs and business evolution.
• Analyze recurring issues and lead initiatives to continually improve system performance and dependability.
• Maintain and improve support procedures to enhance resilience and reduce downtime.
• Participate in release and deployment processes, ensuring thorough documentation and adherence to governance policies.
• Implement automated testing, conduct code reviews, and promote continuous integration to maintain code quality.

Skills and Experience Required

• Minimum of 7 years in backend and API development.
• Expertise in server-side technologies, particularly Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and managing integrations with diverse applications and APIs.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and deployment automation.
• Sound understanding of database schema design, transactions, and query optimization.
