Job Purpose

The role involves ensuring strict adherence to QCS 2014 standards, relevant HSE regulations, and specific project safety mandates while fostering a work environment that is safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily health, safety, and environmental inspections and site audits to verify compliance with project and regulatory safety standards.
• Implement and uphold HSE policies, standard operating procedures, and safe work practices across all site activities.
• Review and validate Permit-to-Work systems and documentation.
• Evaluate Risk Assessments and Method Statements to confirm their adequacy, relevance, and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct site safety inductions, organize toolbox talks, and lead HSE training sessions to raise awareness.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, near-misses, and hazardous situations, and develop corrective and preventive measures accordingly.
• Compile detailed daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports while ensuring meticulous maintenance of records and documentation.
• Participate in planning and executing emergency response drills and readiness activities.
• Monitor environmental adherence and implement measures to protect the environment.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors concerning all HSE issues.
• Assist during internal and external HSE audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.
• Exercise Stop Work Authority promptly upon identifying unsafe actions or conditions.

Qualification & Experience

• Thorough understanding of QCS 2014 standards, applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations, and safety management systems.
• Possession of NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) is compulsory.
• At least 4 years of professional HSE experience within the GCC region.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System is essential.
• Strong capabilities in communication, interpersonal relations, and technical report writing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to operate autonomously with minimal oversight and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Analytical mindset with demonstrated skills in problem-solving and incident investigation.
