Security Manager

Position Summary

The Security Manager holds responsibility for steering all facets of security operations, life safety, risk oversight, and emergency readiness at the resort, assuring the safety of people, company assets, and reputation through stringent adherence to Saudi regulations and Rosewood standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct daily security activities throughout the resort premises.
• Formulate and enforce security-related policies, procedures, and standard operating protocols.
• Guarantee round-the-clock security presence across all operational zones.
• Supervise and evaluate external security service providers to ensure compliance and high service standards.
• Execute frequent patrols and assessments in guest areas, staff zones, service back-of-house, and perimeter boundaries.
• Manage systems controlling access, visitor logs, and key asset management.
• Maintain and oversee CCTV surveillance operations to ensure continuous monitoring.
• Develop and keep updated a detailed Risk Register for the resort.
• Perform consistent security risk assessments throughout all departments.
• Detect vulnerabilities and apply suitable mitigation strategies.
• Conduct periodic safety inspections within guest and associate environments.
• Ensure conformity with Rosewood Hotels standards, Red Sea Global protocols, and local Saudi laws.
• Review workplace safety practices and suggest enhancements.
• Assist in departmental risk evaluations and safety audits.
• Create and sustain Emergency Response Plans; lead the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
• Organize fire drills, evacuation procedures, and simulate emergency scenarios.
• Confirm emergency equipment functionality and compliance.
• Engage in crisis management and business continuity planning.
• Serve as Incident Commander when emergency situations arise.
• Ensure all fire and life safety codes and standards are met and maintained.
• Coordinate and oversee inspections of fire alarm systems, extinguishers, hydrants, sprinkler systems, emergency lighting, and evacuation pathways.
• Collaborate with Engineering department to uphold life safety systems.
• Conduct regular fire risk evaluations.
• Encourage a pervasive culture of safety within the resort community.
• Lead investigative processes on incidents including theft, accidents, misconduct, property damage, and security breaches.
• Compile detailed investigation reports with accurate findings and suggestions.
• Manage evidence preservation and confidentiality rigorously.
• Engage with government officials as needed.
• Analyze incident patterns and implement proactive prevention measures.
• Ensure all operations remain compliant with Saudi legislation, Civil Defence mandates, and relevant regulations.
• Maintain proper security certifications, licenses, permits, and documentation.
• Prepare comprehensive security reports, support audits, and uphold compliance records.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor's Degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Risk Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• At least 7 to 10 years of advancing experience in security leadership roles.
• A minimum of 3 years serving as a Security Manager within a luxury hotel, resort, or a mixed-use property.
• Experience with pre-opening operations is strongly preferred.
