Explorer Manager

Role Overview

At Rosewood Red Sea, we strive to enrich each family vacation with meaningful, memorable experiences. We are searching for a dedicated and enthusiastic Explorer Manager to lead our Explorer Club. This role focuses on delivering engaging, educational, and enjoyable programs for children while supporting outstanding family stays.

Reporting to the Director of Wellness & Spa, the Explorer Manager will supervise all children's activities, the Explorer Club operations, babysitting provisions, and family event organization. The role demands leadership of a team committed to safety, creativity, and personalized experiences aligned with Rosewood's Relationship Hospitality ethos.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Explorer Club ensuring top-quality experiences for children and families.
• Create and implement inventive recreational, educational, cultural, environmental, and wellness-based programs tailored for various age groups.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate the Explorer team to uphold Forbes Five-Star and Rosewood’s service standards.
• Maintain rigorous standards in child safety, safeguarding, hygiene, and overall operational excellence.
• Develop and roll out seasonal schedules, themed activities, family-oriented events, and programs that highlight the Red Sea’s unique environment.
• Administer babysitting services, guaranteeing professional, secure, and policy-compliant delivery.
• Establish meaningful connections with families through personalized service and memorable interactions.
• Oversee departmental logistics including scheduling, budgeting, payroll, inventory control, and performance management.
• Work collaboratively with Wellness & Spa, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Engineering, Concierge, and other departments to present integrated family experiences.
• Identify and implement continuous improvements to enhance guest satisfaction and elevate the Explorer Club offerings.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Recreation Management, Hospitality Management, Child Development, Leisure Management, or related disciplines.
• At least 3 years managing Kids Club, Family Recreation, children’s programming, or Explorer Club experience within luxury or ultra-luxury hotels, resorts, cruise lines, or family destinations.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with multicultural teams and developing children’s recreational initiatives.
• Strong expertise in child safeguarding, risk mitigation, health and safety standards, and emergency procedures.
• Proven experience in organizing family events, educational activities, and destination-specific children's programs.
• Track record of managing budgets, payroll, staff scheduling, inventory, and operational workflows.
• Highly desirable: current certifications in Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and Child Safeguarding.
• Fluent English communication skills (spoken and written), with additional languages being an asset.
• Professional presentation and a sincere passion for luxury hospitality, enriching family experiences, and child development.
