Role Summary
The Services Manager will lead multiple data centre service projects, ensuring alignment with CDC’s construction and operational goals at the Silverdale site. This position supports project teams through the lifecycle stages—from initiation through planning to delivery of internal operational and construction projects—while monitoring deliverables and outcomes. It requires close cooperation with both technical and non-technical internal teams to guarantee quality standards and financial objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee service-related data centre infrastructure projects to ensure on-time, quality delivery of critical systems.
- Conduct project planning activities, facilitate change management, coordinate with clients, provide comprehensive reporting, and engage with internal stakeholders.
- Work alongside subcontractors to assess and mitigate risks related to service trades, project documentation, design parameters, and onsite execution.
- Perform regular site inspections, document defects and progress, and participate actively in site progress meetings.
- Review monthly progress payment claims, collaborate with project coordinators to finalize payments, and handle weekly and client reporting requirements.
Candidate Profile
- Proven record of managing commercial-scale electrical, communications, and technology projects involving complex supply chains and diverse skill sets.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Possession of an electrical or HVAC qualification (trade or engineering level), or extensive experience in related fields.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, MS Project, plus experience using Aconex and Primavera P6 project management software.
- New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency with eligibility to obtain and hold a New Zealand Security Clearance.
- Strong skills in time management, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement to balance client expectations, contractor schedules, and compliance with industry regulations effectively.
