Role Overview
The Commercial Contracts Administrator will manage comprehensive contractual responsibilities for subcontractors and major suppliers within a multifaceted construction environment. This role supports CDC's Development and Operations teams throughout all project stages, from inception through to operational launch. Collaboration with diverse internal stakeholders is vital to ensure contract administration aligns with project targets, minimizes risks, and enhances procurement and supplier management effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial aspects of construction contracts, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigating strategies.
- Manage cost controls to maintain budgets and minimize financial exposure.
- Lead procurement of subcontractors, negotiating commercial conditions aligned with CDC protocols.
- Analyze contractor pricing details, ensuring rate and quantity accuracy.
- Ensure fulfillment of contractual commitments by monitoring milestones, payments, and reporting.
- Engage with managers and stakeholders via meetings, correspondence, and calls to address contract-related matters.
- Coordinate contract administration tasks including variations, progress claims, and financial tracking.
- Maintain precise registers, contracts documentation, and templates while facilitating contractual communications.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven background as Contracts Administrator, Quantity Surveyor, or in project finance on large-scale, multi-disciplinary construction projects.
- Extensive expertise in commercial and financial management within commercial property or industrial sectors.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Skilled in preparing contract agreements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts positively.
- Collaborative mindset with a commitment to delivering projects efficiently and meeting deadlines.
Essential Requirements
- Must be an Australian Citizen able to obtain and uphold NV1 Security Clearance.
