Job Overview

This role involves conducting thorough observations and inspections related to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) to ensure all safety protocols, policies, and standards are strictly followed across assets, operations, projects, equipment, and personnel. Prompt reporting of potential health, environmental, safety, and security risks is a crucial responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and monitor HSE compliance within assigned domains including locations, projects, sites, plants, and processes in accordance with company HSE policies and guidelines.
  • Identify, assess, and report potential or existing risks and hazards, including chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic issues within the workplace environment.
  • Manage and follow up on daily and shift-based assignments aligned with schedules for inspection teams and operation/material reviews.
  • Select appropriate inspection tools and techniques tailored to inspection types such as operational checks, environmental assessments, food safety, machining, gas testing, and downtime evaluations.
  • Investigate any non-conformities, suspicious activities, or risks promptly and communicate findings to relevant teams to mitigate losses and arrange immediate corrective measures.
  • Document incident specifics like timing, process, and incident codes to ensure proper tracking and facilitate detailed investigations as needed.
  • Assist in investigations and audits related to incidents under management guidance to gather comprehensive information and support follow-up actions.
  • Verify that processes, activities, materials, and equipment adhere to applicable HSE procedures and communicate any findings to stakeholders accordingly.
  • Disseminate and update personnel on HSE practices, procedures, and new developments to maintain aligned communication and compliance.
  • Execute programs and initiatives focused on safety, environmental protection, occupational health, and hygiene following established HSE standards.
  • Observe and report the condition and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) among employees and contractors, providing guidance on proper usage to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections and submit reports in line with approved procedures to support effective HSE management.
  • Engage with site personnel to heighten HSE awareness and understanding of safety protocols through direct interaction.
  • Submit reports of HSE activities, processes, and related requests according to the company’s HSE Management System using required logs and registers.
  • Participate actively in HSE awareness campaigns, training sessions, and campaign rollouts to meet targeted safety objectives.
  • Apply technical manuals and equipment guidelines during inspections to ensure accurate data collection and readings.
  • Perform regular equipment calibration and preventive checks to guarantee operational reliability of HSE instruments and tools.
  • Request necessary maintenance and repairs for machines, instruments, and HSE equipment to maintain operational readiness.
  • Ensure that tools, PPE, and supplies provided are serviced and functional at all times.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Technical or Scientific disciplines is mandatory.
  • At least five years’ demonstrated experience in HSE or technical-related roles.
