About the Role

Based in Penrose, Auckland, this senior HRIS Lead position offers the chance to join a global HRIS team and significantly influence the HR technology landscape at Fisher & Paykel. You will spearhead the evolution and support of our HR technology ecosystem, combining deep expertise in Workday with business process improvements and stakeholder collaboration to enhance systems, employee experience, and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with People & Capability leadership and key stakeholders to align HR technology with business strategies and needs, ensuring adherence to group architecture and governance.
  • Lead and prioritize the HRIS roadmap, including enhancements and ongoing improvements.
  • Provide comprehensive Workday expertise covering configuration, testing, reporting, security, and business processes, with integration knowledge being advantageous.
  • Translate business requirements into effective, scalable HR technology solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for process simplification, automation, and enhancement of employee and manager self-service capabilities.
  • Maintain visibility and governance over HRIS projects, risks, and priorities.
  • Work with Shared Services to enhance system efficiency and support scalable service delivery.
  • Investigate recurring system issues to pinpoint root causes and implement long-term fixes.
  • Support annual people processes such as remuneration reviews, talent reviews, succession and workforce planning.
  • Partner with the global Haier HRIS team on projects, system upgrades, and improvements.

Candidate Profile

  • Substantial experience in Workday/HRIS roles within complex, multinational organizations.
  • Strong proficiency in Workday HCM, including end-to-end business process configuration across modules like Recruitment, Absence, Talent & Performance, Advanced Compensation, and Benefits.
  • In-depth knowledge of Workday security, reporting, testing, release management, and production support.
  • Familiarity with integrations and Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB).
  • Capability to convert business needs into practical and scalable technological solutions.
  • Proven track record of driving automation, process improvements, and optimization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience influencing various stakeholders including HR, Payroll, IT, and business leadership teams.
  • Confidence to challenge ideas constructively, prioritize tasks effectively, and deliver results within a complex matrix organization.
