We seek a commercially savvy and analytically proficient Central Demand Planner to elevate our demand planning function and enable data-driven business decisions. Positioned in Penrose, Auckland, the role reports to the Central Demand Planning Manager and entails generating and managing top-tier demand forecasts across designated product categories and markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and update statistical demand forecasts covering a variety of products, distribution channels, and markets.
- Utilize AI-driven planning tools and business insights to enhance forecast accuracy.
- Oversee forecasting throughout product lifecycles, including new introductions and phase-outs.
- Lead the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) monthly demand review to ensure departmental coordination.
- Track and assess forecast quality metrics such as accuracy and bias.
- Interpret demand patterns, identify risks and opportunities, and provide clear strategic recommendations.
- Align demand planning activities with financial targets and objectives.
- Contribute to governance, continuous improvement, and adoption of best planning practices.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with teams in commercial, operations, and supply chain sectors.
Candidate Profile
- Professional experience in demand planning, supply chain planning, or related analytical roles.
- Proficient in forecasting techniques and data analyses, including evaluation of forecast accuracy metrics.
- Familiarity with Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), or similar frameworks.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders in a complex organizational environment.
- Advanced competency in demand planning systems, ERP, or forecasting software.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex data into actionable business insights.
- Possesses a growth-oriented mindset and strong business acumen.
