About Dawn Meats
Dawn Meats is a prominent food production and meat processing company recognized for delivering premium quality products to leading retail, foodservice, and restaurant clients internationally. We invite an experienced HR Generalist to join our Charleville, Co. Cork team in a hands-on role supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, payroll tasks, GDPR compliance, and HR systems management within a dynamic manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily HR activities encompassing the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to contract administration, induction, and offboarding.
- Offer HR advice and assistance to managers and employees concerning employee relations, absence and performance management, disciplinary, and grievance procedures.
- Handle work permit processing and conduct pre-employment checks for non-EU hires as necessary.
- Generate HR reports and analyze workforce data related to absence rates, turnover, annual leave, and working time adherence.
- Support payroll-related functions in cooperation with payroll and finance departments.
- Contribute to HR projects, employee engagement endeavors, graduate recruitment, and compliance with ethical audits.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of a third-level degree in Human Resources, Business, or a similar field.
- At least two years of experience serving in HR Generalist, HR Officer, HR Coordinator, or equivalent positions.
- Comprehensive understanding of Irish employment legislation, HR best practices, and GDPR protocols.
- Demonstrated experience in recruitment support, onboarding, employee relations, absence oversight, and HR administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with HR platforms like CoreHR or PeopleXD; experience with payroll administration is beneficial.
