Job Overview

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in Doha, Qatar, is seeking a dedicated Host/Hostess to warmly welcome guests, manage seating arrangements, and ensure an exceptional dining experience adhering to luxury service standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet incoming guests and determine the party size.
• Escort guests to clean and available tables, ensuring menus are present, clean, updated, and placed properly.
• Assist guests throughout their dining experience and provide necessary support when required.
• Arrange tables, chairs, and utensils suitably, including setups for groups with special needs.
• Verify that appropriate cutlery and napkins are provided for each guest, maintaining standard place settings.
• Monitor cleanliness continuously within dining and work areas.
• Oversee seating availability, service quality, guest safety, and overall guest wellbeing in dining spaces.
• Adhere to company policies and safety procedures, reporting incidents or unsafe conditions to management promptly.
• Maintain a professional personal appearance and proper uniform at all times.
• Ensure confidentiality of proprietary information and safeguard company assets.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues; manage telephone communications appropriately.
• Foster positive working relationships and teamwork to achieve shared goals and promptly address coworkers’ concerns.
• Comply with quality standards and company expectations.
• Be physically capable of standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and handling objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Preferences

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
• No prior experience required; experience in food service settings is advantageous.
• No supervisory experience or licensing requirements needed.
